It's a horrific loss that comes with drink driving in West Norfolk.

Which is why the Norfolk Accident Rescue Service (NARS) have joined KLFM's Drink Drive Campaign.

Throughout December we'll be sharing stories from those affected and from the emergency services who deal with serious crashes and the aftermath.

Chris Neil is the Chairman of NARS and volunteers as a first responder.

'We're resuscitating people on the side of the road'

NARS get called out to some of the most serious crashes in Norfolk.

"I have been to incidents where mum and dad have been killed and you've got the kids sitting in the back seat looking at you wondering what on earth's going on.

Trying to resuscitate mum and dad while the kids are in the back and they've just been wiped out by a drunk driver."

It does annoy you in the background when you've gone home at night and maybe there was someone in another car or someone who's been run over by a drink driver, that can be quite a challenge to deal with deep down and it makes you angry."

Share and save lives

The charity NARS has joined Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, Norfolk Police and those who have lost loved ones to drink drivers.

They're working with KLFM to raise awareness about every aspect of this reckless behaviour.

Please help us save lives this year by sharing KLFM's Drink Drive Campaign
