Some West Norfolk residents have been left without power this morning (6th Jan).

Around nine postcodes are affected in our county including King's Lynn, Terrington St Clement, West Bilney and Wiggenhall St Mary.

Engineers are currently investigating and fixing the issue.

UK Power Networks say they became aware of the issue shortly after 3am.

"We were investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which caused a power cut in the local area."

Many residents have had their power restored, but it is estimated around 300 are still without electricity.

"We've managed to restore power to a further 208 supplies by remotely diverting power.

There are now 303 properties still affected, so your power may have come on sooner than we originally advised.

If you're still off, please don't worry; work on the issue will continue along with SMS updates until everyone is back on."

It's estimated power will be restored by 6am
