Former Cambs police officer sentenced for indecent image offences

A former Cambridgeshire police officer has been sentenced for indecent image offences.

He pleaded guilty and appeared at Luton Crown Court today (21st January).

Phillip Richardson, 49, now known as John Nicholls, was former PC who was based at March Police Station.

He was sentenced to 15 months in prison, suspended for 24 months, after admitting three counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child and two counts of distributing an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child at a previous hearing.

Richardson was arrested in May and dismissed by the force on 3 July.
