Celebrating diversity and love in West Norfolk.

That's the aim of a peace rally taking place in King's Lynn tomorrow.

It's been organised by new anti-hate group KLOVE.

It's aimed at bridging the divides that have become more and more prevalent in society and they want to fight back against hate and division.

Locally, it was set up in response to the racist and fascist graffiti attacks and more nationally, in response to the rise in hate crime.

As part of this fightback, they hope to host events that would bring people together, such as inviting people to try different foods from different cultures.

KLFM spoke to one of the organisers Ruby and Springwood Labour Councillor Jo Rust.

Ruby told KLFM that KLOVE wants young people to be taught to celebrate people's differences:

"It's good to teach those values from a young age.

King's Lynn, as much as people don't think it is, it is up and coming but only if people work at it."

Jo explained why she's thrilled to see the event taking place:

"King's Lynn is a fantastic place.

We are inclusive, we are diverse, we have got a rich cultural background and hertiage that we want to celebrate

We wanted to give those people who don't believe in hate the opportunity because we know that they are the majority and we want to give them the opportunity to say that really loudly and clearly."

The two-hour celebration will consist of music and speakers, as well as the chance to send a message of love

Residents will have the chance to write down a message of love to West Norfolk which will then be displayed locally.
