Thieves hit businesses in Downham Market

Thieves are on the prowl in Downham Market town centre.

Three businesses were hit in the same night between Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 January.

Police believe a step ladder is suspected to have been taken from one property, to be used to enter the first floor windows of the other two.

During the burglaries a quantity of cash was taken, along with a metal bench and vintage door.

Officers are particularly interested to hear from anyone who may have seen a person(s) walking around Downham Market High Street, Paradise Road, or Bridge Street overnight carrying a 8-10ft step ladder.

Anyone with information or significant dash cam or CCTV footage from the area at the time should contact PC Andy Smith at Downham Market police station on 101, quoting crime number 36/5043/20.
