Storm Ciara has swept through West Norfolk and Wisbech, bringing strong winds.

A number of trees were brought down by the gusty conditions.

In Wisbech, there were long delays for motorists wanting to get into the town centre yesterday (9 February) after a tree fell across Churchill Road, blocking the road.

Power cables were also ripped down during the gusty conditions, leaving many homes and businesses without electricity this morning - UK Power Networks hoping to restore connections by the end of the day,

Wisbech Town FC saw one of their stands collapse during the storm, but luckily no one was nearby when it happened.

Meanwhile, King's Lynn Night Shelter is thanking emergency services who helped them to stay open, despite part of their roof blowing off. They were able to offer a warm night to 22 people, who otherwise would have spent it on the streets in the wind and rain.
