A project to give every primary school child in West Norfolk the chance to learn an instrument is expanding.

The West Norfolk academies trust are the people behind it. They're the trust who run Springwood, Marshland, St Clements and Smithdon - as well as lots of primary schools in the area.

They know that not everyone gets the chance to learn an instrument, often for financial reasons, so they've been talent spotting in local scores and then funding their lessons.

It's been going for a while already but they are looking to expand and include potentially hundreds more children.

Rob Galliard said:

"Research has shown that children that are engaged in musical activity, generally perform better all around, so their academic skills improve, as do their social skills."

If you'd like to support the project, either with spare instruments or with financial assistance from a local business or charity, get in touch with Springwood who are leading the project.
