A well-known King's Lynn building reopens today and is set to make locals nostalgic.

The Wenns Chop & Ale House (formerly The Goldings) has had a six-week refurbishment and will offer steaks, grazing plates, quiz nights and live music.

Co-owner Michael Baldwin (also of Bank House) told KL.FM they're excited for people to see what they've done with the place:

"I think it's really exciting to bring back such an iconic building to King's Lynn as a proper pub for local people.

"It's got such a rich history which everybody in King's Lynn has some kind of association with - so it's really exciting!"

General Manager Paul Turner says he has his own fond memories of the place:

"I used to drink in here quite a bit when I was at college.

"The only thing that's going to be different is we don't have the jukebox they used to have.

"Back in the day that was one of the things everyone used to come here for!

"But we'll have live entertainment and lots of other events."

"We just hope people embrace it...and support us!"

The Wenns Chop & Ale House is open from 10:30am-11pm.

Food is served between midday and 9pm - or until 8pm Sundays.
