Hospital treatment for 76-year-old woman robbed in Wisbech

A woman has been left with minor injuries after having her handbag stolen by two men in Wisbech on Monday.


It happened at about 5:30pm on Elizabeth Terrace before the offenders reportedly ran off towards the fire station on Churchill Road.

The men are both described as white - one with short blond hair and wearing a light purple jumper.

The victim suffered minor injuries but is receiving hospital treatment.

Police want to hear from anyone with information.

DS Shish Thind said Cambridgeshire Police want to hear from anyone with information:

“We have had several reports already and enquiries are ongoing to identify who is responsible.

“Extra patrols are in place as a precaution and the victim’s welfare is being looked after. If anyone saw the suspects or witnessed the crime please come forward.”
