West Norfolk Spring Clean postponed

The Great British Spring Clean has been postponed until September.

Community litter picks had been organised by groups in Boughton, Castle Rising, East Rudham, Gayton, Hardings Pits, Howard Junior School, Stradsett, Syderstone, West Lynn and West Walton.

Keep Britain Tidy says they've been blown away by the support for the event, but have to put health first.

The new Spring Clean dates will be from 11-27 September.

The council want to make it clear that if you have a litter-picking event organised, you can reschedule your activity for the new campaign instead of cancelling it.

A statement e-mailed to KL.FM said the following:

"Volunteers, local authorities, charities and businesses – have shown tremendous commitment to the campaign and to each and every one of you we would like to say a huge big thank you.

"Our first priority has always been making sure everyone stays safe and so we have taken the decision to postpone this year’s Great British Spring Clean until September."
