Changes to Breckland Council's Customer Contact Centre

In light of the latest central government guidance during the coronavirus pandemic, Breckland Council has suspended all face to face interactions at its Customer Contact Centre.

This means from today (25 March) until further notice, all residents will be instead asked to contact the council via:

  • web chat or online forms at www.breckland.gov.uk
  • email contactus@breckland.gov.uk
  • For urgent queries, call on 01362 656870.

A spokesperson said: 

"Maintaining a safe environment for our residents and the safety of our staff is paramount in this difficult decision."

The councils offices in Dereham and Thetford will no longer be open for council-related queries, but will remain operational for customers of Department of Work and Pensions, who share the buildings.

The majority of council services continue to be delivered with little disruption, with updates being made available here.
