Visitors are no longer allowed in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn.

The new rules have been brought in as the hospital continues to fight the spread COVID-19.

The new restrictions aim to reduce the number of visitors to the site (with a limited number of exceptions) and are necessary to protect patients, according to the Trust.

Any patients with coronavirus, or who need to be tested for the virus, are not allowed visitors either.

Bosses said visitors are no longer allowed on the wards until further notice, with the following exceptions:

      • One parent is allowed to accompany children
      • One birthing partner is allowed to attend the maternity department
      • One carer is permitted in the emergency department (but must remain with the patient at all times)
      • Exceptions can be discussed with ward managers if your relative is receiving end of life care.
