Fenland Police are laying down an Easter Bonnet challenge to children.

To help keep them entertained during lockdown, officers would like them to design and make special hats for the force.

The finished designs can be shared on social media, with a dozen kids winning an Easter egg and please remember to include your child’s name, age, address and a contact number.

Inspector Lombardo said:

"This is just a bit of fun to try and help with keeping young kids in Fenland entertained.

"Children have great imaginations so I’m hopeful that we will have some really amazing designs submitted. We have kindly been donated a total of 12 chocolate Easter eggs and other chocolates from local Aldi, Iceland, Lidl, Sainsbury’s and Tesco stores and these will be delivered to the winners by officers while they are out on patrol next week.

"Myself and sergeants Lugg and Arnold will be judging the entries, to be eligible to enter you must live in the Fenland area."

The competition closes on Tuesday 14th April so start letting your imagination run wild and we look forward to seeing your Easter police hats.
