Teenager dies after crash in Middleton

A teenager has died in hospital after a crash in Middleton last week. 

The 17-year-old was a passenger in a Ford Fiesta that flipped and crashed into a field last Wednesday, 22 April. 

The accident happened just before 8pm on Station Road, close to the junction with Hill Road. 

A spokesman for Norfolk Constabulary said: 

"Sadly, a 17-year-old passenger in the car, who was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with life threatening injuries, has died.

"The driver of the car and another passenger, also aged 17, suffered minor injuries in the collision. 

"The driver was arrested in connection with the incident and taken to Kings Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue."
