Wisbech murder victim named

A man who was found dead in Wisbech over the weekend has been named. 

The 28-year-old's body was found outside an industrial unit in Sandall Road at around 5.10am on Saturday morning. 

A post mortem examination, carried out yesterday, concluded he had died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head. 

Tomas Lazdauskas, 23 of Milner Road, Wisbech and Donatas Umbrasas, 27 of Albany Road, Wisbech, were both charged with murder this morning.

They appeared via video link at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday, May 12, for their first hearing and were remanded in custody.

The men stand accused of murdering Mindaugas Arlauskas, 28, of Princes Road, Wisbech. However, formal identification of the victim has not yet taken place.

A further court hearing is scheduled for Thursday, May 14, at Cambridge Crown Court.
