Work is due to be carried out to reconstruct the full length of footway throughout New road and Denmark Road, King's Lynn.

The works are expected to take 6 weeks to complete.

The footway will be replaced, along with several sections of damaged kerbs. The footway on the west side of New Road is to be lowered at the kerb line to reduce damage caused by parked vehicles. All drainage channels that empty on to New Road will be maintained.

The work will be carried out in stages and parking restrictions will be in place to allow construction to take place safely and in a timely fashion. The contractors will work with residents to ensure that any disruption to residents' parking is kept to a minimum and their cooperation is very much appreciated.

Vehicle access to properties will be maintained however there may be some unavoidable delays whilst works are carried out across accesses.

The County Council thanks people for their patience while this improvement work is carried out.

The work which will cost £35,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council's Community and Environmental Services Department and their contractors, starting on Monday 8 June.
