A floral display has been created in King's Lynn that has a special message for the NHS and key workers.

Created by Jason Wells with help from Dave Bird and Paul Robson, who all work for the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk, a specially created badge bed in Tower Gardens thanks the NHS and key workers.

It was completed on Friday 29 May, the same week all the new bedding was planted by public open space teams in the Walks, King's Lynn, Esplanade Gardens, Hunstanton and Downham Market Town Centre. There are a mixture of plants such as Begonias, Pelargoniums, Salvias, Dahlias and also some Millet and Cannas as centre pieces.

Cllr Elizabeth Nockolds, Deputy Leader of the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk and cabinet member for Culture, Heritage and Health, said:

"These plants add a nice splash of colour to our green spaces. The message in the Tower Gardens display is a thank you from west Norfolk to the NHS and key workers and I'm pleased that anyone in the borough can visit and see it.

"I would like to add my thanks to the borough council team who have continued to look after the public open spaces around west Norfolk during the coronavirus pandemic. More people than ever have been using our parks and gardens as part of their daily exercise and I'm sure that they appreciate the care that our teams have taken in looking after those areas."
