James Wild has praised the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in the House of Commons today.

The MP for North West Norfolk asked the prime minister if the hospital would be included government plans to build 40 new hospitals.

He told Boris Johnson about the 'dedication' shown by staff through the crisis.

He said:

"The Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn serves over 300,000 people across Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.

"On the 40th anniversary of a hospital only built to last 30 years, does my right honourable friend agree that the dedication shown by staff in responding to coronavirus deserves to be recognised by including the Queen Elizabeth in our new hospital building programme.

Boris Johnson replied to tell Mr Wild that 'further long-term solutions' at the King's Lynn hospital are under 'active consideration'.
