It was on this day (16th May) in 1977 that it was reported the Led Zeppelin singer was arrested.

A newspaper said singer Robert Plant was drunk and pulled a knife out at Atlanta Airport.

But he had a pretty air-tight alibi.

Robert was at his home in Wales when it happened and this was a man impersonating him.

The newspaper printed an apology the following night.
